That was the entire terminals batch on the floor that day. Running. Cheering. Screaming. Dancing. Hearts hanging out one last time. And it’s pretty hard to imagine why 50 people with pretty much zero chance of coming away with anything at BACBACan would even bother to show up let alone try to compete.

But for those who have ever experienced being crying shoulders for BAA students, it’s harder still to imagine the point of having to go through the stress of each 114 or 116 or 118 or 123 exam. And all for a shot at even more accounting stress come October (or for some of us, May, even)? Echoing the legendary Sir Greggy, that’s one and a half extra years…and for what exactly? An extra A?

An extra A that has meant enduring Copita and her wonderful history lessons. An extra A that has meant a variety of Dirty Old Men and their wonderful jokes about accidental rape. An extra A that has meant engaging the Amazon Queen herself with other random and equally wonderful paimportante profs as side dishes.

An extra A that has meant random law quiz bees. An extra A that has meant finding Beta and the cost of equity. An extra A that has meant sleepless nights over Harvard business cases (peaking at doing 8 in one night).

An extra A that has meant eight-hour exams (conveniently skipping over lunch). An extra A that has meant M+. An extra A that has meant dreading the letter E.

An extra A that has meant 100% in BACBACan, and that will hopefully mean 100% by October.

It’s hard to explain the sense behind that extra A. But ask any one of us. Anyone.
